Illinois
Masonic Hospital
(Senior
Citizen Care)
Chicago,
Illinois
While
in Chicago working as an architectural designer for
Warman Olsen Warman, Architects Mr. Nkosi was
responsible for the architectural and interior design of this
5,000 sq. ft., $400,000 project.
The
lobby and dining facility (inside and out) is used
primarily by the senior citizens residing at the
hospital.
As
a result, special finish materials had to be used on the
walls and floors to improve the tactile and safety features
of the interior environment.
The
lighting levels of the facility were also given special
consideration in an effort to increase the comfort of the
seniors.
